When you say you are not pleased with the outcome, it is unclear to what extent you received legal help. If you retained a lawyer who helped negotiate a settlement, then you have probably signed a release in exchange for the settlement check and have no further recourse. However, if you have just spoken to a lawyer and have not settled the case then you should consult another attorney for a second opinion before making a decision. Keep in mind that you have a three year statute of limitations for claims arising from a motor vehicle in Colorado, you must file your claim within three years of the accident or lose your right to do so. Other time limitations may apply.
