Legal Question in Traffic Law in Colorado

Stopped by officers from another county

I was stopped by an officer from a nearby county that I was never in for a moving violation. I was 6 to 7 miles from the county line. I had been drinking and he took me in for DUI back to the county he was from. The arrest paperwork stated I was stopped in his county but the towing billing showed different. Can an officer from one county pull me over in another for a traffic violation?

Unless there is a compelling reason, highly unlikely that he can do that legally. He should have had a cop from the other jurisdiction join him.

Plus, if you show that he lied in his report, that is always very good.

Still, you should hire an attorney. Me, for instance.
