Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado

My daughter has a trust set up by her grandmother and there has been no accounting given since conception in 2001. I have reason to believe that the trustee is overcharging, withholding information, as well as making irresponsible investments. There is approx. $100K in the trust, and it lost $74K in '09. My daughter will be going to college next year and I have a concern.

Thank you for your time.

In general a beneficiary of a trust can demand an accounting unless the trust itself absolves the trustee from providing any accounting. That provision would be rare. Generally trusts are written to require annual accountings to beneficiaries. Reviewing the trust document will be the first step.
