Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado

This is a simple question for a very, very complicated matter.

I live in CO. my sister lives in HI. and she's dealing with a probate matter

in Los Angeles, CA. My sister is here visiting me right now in CO.

Her and I agree that she needs a conservator to help her with the probate matter.

My Question: Where do we file for conservator? Does it have to be filed in her resident state? Can it be filed in CO. with Notice Of Conservator to be filed later

in both HI. and CA.?

If your sister is seeking appointment as a Conservator for a person she would file in the state where the protected person lives and the filing is subject to the laws of the state where the petition for appointment of a Conservator is filed.
