Legal Question in Criminal Law in Connecticut

UPS misdelivery

I found about 2 weeks ago that the UPS driver at my store had delivered a package to our store which did not belong to us by accident. The employee who signed for the box opened it and thought it was empty and was going to throw it away till another employee stopped him. They both searched the box and found a ring in the box. Now they are both claiming they gave me the box and that I took the ring. The police have threatened to arrest me and are saying that if and only if i take a lie detector test they will leave me alone. What can I do? I had no knowledge of the box and did not sign for the box. Please help

Re: UPS misdelivery

You should not talk to the police nor think about whether to take a lie detector test without speaking to a lawyer first. Call me if you would like to discuss this.
