Moving Divorce Decree?

I was divorced in VA in 2004. My husband has moved to TN. I have moved to CT. He has stopped paying my spousal support. What can I do????

You can register the VA judgment of divorce in the state of Connecticut. (get a certified copy from the clerk of court in VA). You have to give him notice that you are registering the judgment. (he is given 20 days to object)Once the judgment is registered, it's given a CT case docket number and is then treated like a Connecticut case. You then file a motion for contempt against him for violating the VA judgment in the case you established in CT and it will be enforced here.
