Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Connecticut

I am looking to start a clothing line. I have a name which I intended to use, but I went online to do some research and found that there s a band with this name. What I want to do is just add the word wear to to my brand so here is an example: Band name- "Name" Clothing name- "Name Wear". I wanted to know if this would be a problem. any help is appreciated!

This could possibly result in trademark dillution for the band. It depends on a number of elements. How popular is the band? How well known are they? Do they have trademarks? Are they regional?
