Legal Question in Employment Law in Connecticut

I work at an insulation company and I have continued issues with one of the salesman. I am treated very disrespectfully and he talks bad about me to his customers. I have brought this issue up to the office manager who either laughs or says to just ignore it. It is to the point now where I dont want to come into work because of him. I have also been to the doctor for stress and anxiety because of this. Is there anything I can do about this?

It depends on what the salesman is doing and why. Generally, there is no law against being rude. If you need time off because of an illness, you can use the FMLA if your employer has at least 50 employees and you've been there at least one year. They should have an FMLA policy about this.
