Legal Question in Personal Injury in Connecticut

Should I sue my Insurance Company

Two years ago I was involved in an auto accident with a semi Truck. The accident was not my fault, the truck hit me from behind during heavy traffic. The owner of said Truck cannot be found by my lawyer. My lawyer is proceeding to sue my insurance company. I do have no-fault insurance.

I am wondering if I shoudl proceed with my suit. I am afraid the insurance company will drop me or raise my rates. I know that legally they can't do this because I brought the suit against them, but this is the real world and they could find some other reason to drop me. Is this commonly done? Should I get a new insurance company now while the law suit is in court to avoid my rates increasing?

Have you shared these concerns with the attorney who is handling your case? He or she is in the best position to know the circumstances of your individual case, and it is important that you communicate openly with him or her regarding your concerns.
