Legal Question in Product Liability in Connecticut

products from auction

I have a friend that had a verbal agreement with an auction house to pay for an autographed ball..may be worth $100,000+, but the auction house claimed they did not get paid..they are re-auctioning the ball...My friend wants to sue for what he paid for the ball plus what it is worth..can he get what it is worth?

He paid $23, 000. Apparently this was on verbal agreement also..He is activaely pursuing this with a lawyer..

Re: products from auction

In general, contract damages entitle a plaintiff to be placed in as good a position as he or she would have been in had the contract not been breached. That may mean that your friend may be entitled to what the ball is worth, minus what he paid for it.
