Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

I had an aunt die recently. A while back, the family was called by my aunt to verify social security numbers and addresses of my siblings. She died with no children, her husband preceded her in death. We know she had a will, in your experience, would that indicate a trust? I'm concerned some members of the extended family will not honor her wishes.

Thank you

I have no clue whether your aunt included a trust in her will. Nothing you have said suggests that she did. If you know who the lawyer is that handled her affairs, he/she would have a copy of the will. If she had a safe deposit box, you could get an order from the probate court allowing someone to go into the box to see if there is a will.

Once you find the will then you must probate it. The family has to follow the probate court orders regarding her wishes.
