Legal Question in Employment Law in Delaware

I have a corporation in NYS since 2005. It was working for few years and has been active but shelved. I want to Open up a LLC or S. Corp in Delaware and change the ownership of the NYS S.corp from my personal name to Delaware Entity. Transportation Business - Business will be operated in NYS. I just need more clarification whether I am making the right move. If yes, then how is going to benefit me, and in which department..Labor - taxation ?? If No, Why is it not a good idea ?

I would appreciate if I can get a solid response on this. Thank you.
