A Consultant Agreement clause under Confidentiality states "... the consultant will protect the Information and treat it as strictly confidential. A violation of this paragraph shall be a material violation of this Agreement." What is the definition for "material violation?"

Material violation is generally defined in the agreement. Without an opportunity to review the agreement you are referring to it would be impossible to determine what would be a material violation of that agreement.
