Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in District of Columbia

Wills

If I lived in Washington DC and made a will their, and then moved and lived here in Fla....Would Florida law ....acknowlege and abide by my will if it was made up in Washington, DC? also would Florida law rule in it or Washington DC?

Florida Law - When someone passes away their will must be probated in the County where they were domiciled. Since you now live in Florida and intend to remain here then you should have your DC will reviewed to be sure that it complies with Florida Law. If it complies with Florida Law it would not be necessary to have another will drafted. States accept other States Wills as long as they comply with their laws. It wouldn't matter that you had it drafted in DC but I suggest that you have it reveiwed. If I can be of further assistance with this matter please feel free to contact me.
