Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

Co-signer for car delcared bankruptcy,Help!!!!!

My friends Father In-Law filed for bankruptcy and he was the co-signer on her husbands car.

She tried to make a payment today, like she has for the last 4 years over the phone and they informed her that they can't accept the payment because the account was in bankruptcy. That was all they could tell her because she is not on the account.

What does my friend need to do in order to keep this truck?

They have paid Ford Finance over $20.000 in payments and only owe $3500.00 on it!!

Please tell me what they can do to keep the truck.

Also is My friends Father-Laws bankruptcy now gpoing to show on her husbands credit?

Reply ASAP please
