Are we legally required on the 2010 census questionaire to answer the question " What is your telephone number?"

No -- but there is no reason not to answer the questions. It cannot harm you and only helps the community.

No, you are not required to answer any of the questions. They only ask for your telephone number in case they have a question about one of your answers. The only purpose of the survey is to gain information to make sure that resources are allocated properly to your community. Regards,
