question about how a company handled an employee's situation

I know of someone who had a stroke on the jo. Her managers just wanted to send her home as if she was sick but she insisted that she had to go to the Doctor. She walked a mile to catch a bus while she was going through the stroke and once she reached the doctors office she was immediately sent to the hospital via ems. She is also not allowed to go back to work even if her Doctor gives her the ok to do so because the company does not want her back after the stroke. What should she do?

Depending upon the size of the company she could have a claim for Family Medicl Leave Act or disability discrimination. she should file a complaint with the HR department in writing.
