Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Closing Contract

My contract for the purchase of my condo states that the developer should be paying for my cable. They are not paying it and they say this was just a typo and should be ignored. Can I make them pay?

You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. From the information you provided, it sounds as if they should pay unless you truly knew otherwise that it was, in fact, an error. Any purchase of real estate is bounded by the terms of the Contract. Have your attorney discuss this issue with the developer and try to reach an amicable resolution.

Re: Closing Contract

from your description, and if you did not from the outset know this was a typo, they should be paying for the cable; however, it would be important to see and examine the entire contract and paperwork surrounding the sale to be sure.
