Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Fallen Truck

I brought my truck to the service dept. for repairs while it was there it was damaged by falling partially off the lift. My concern is that more damage may have happened to the car than we can see such as the frame twisting b/c of the way it was laying on the lift. The truck is only like 9 months old and I've taken great care of it. The question is: Am I owed more than just the repair of my truck or should they be getting me a new one? I did buy it from one of there dealerships.

You are entitled to have your vehicle repaired fully. You do not have any entitlement to profit from the error of the dealer.

If you fear that there may be more damage than the dealer has advised, then take it to a body shop that you trust and have them look at the vehicle for you. You may also be able to have your insurance adjustor look at your truck as a service to you.

Re: Fallen Truck

you are entitled to the cost of repair, the value of a rental while it is being repaired, and the value the truck has lost because it has been damaged.
