Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I had a balance of 1,100 for a vet bill. they sent me to collection and the collection company told me my balance for the animal clinic was 1,618 dollars. i was not aware that it was 1,100 at the time. the told me i can put down a deposit of 300 dollars the pay 50 dollars a month after that. they also told me that the 300 dollars were going to be subtracted from my VET BILL. I tolf them to send me a written contract stating that there will be no additional interest rates or fees. they told me NO! that they are not a credit card company. they sent me an email with the payment plan and said i owe 1,600 to the animal clinic and my payment plan is 300 deposit and 50 dollars a month to fulfill my debt with the ANIMAL CLINIC. next day i called animal clinic to see my balance and they told me it was 1,100 not 1,600! so i called the collection agency and they told me "oh we forgot to say we charge 400 dollars for a payment plan"! what can i do??? They withheld information!! and theyre also telling me since they sent me a payment plan form via email that im part of them and if i dont comply they will seek further legal actions but i did not sign anything !! or agreed! i just asked for a payment plan form so i can see it with my own eye that their will be no interest or fees! and now i find out they do!!

If the balance was $1100 then that's all they can charge. Get the bill and the charges to confirm the debt from the clinic.
