Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Capital One is taking me to court

A few years ago, I recieved this Capital One card for a credit limit of $500. I then got married, soon after became pregnant, and my husband became very ill. I called Capital One at that time, explained the situation and asked them to work with me. They said they would drop off one late fee. That's it. Now, they're saying I owe them about $3,000! I have a pre-trial conference with them soon. How can I reduce this amount when most of it are fees?

it would be wise to hire a lawyer. Please feel free to contact my office to set up a consultation. I can probably arange a payment plan for 50/month with capital one.
