Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

We may need to give our rv back to the bank. Many problems with the vehicle, manufacturer went bankrupt, dealer is bankrupt. It was never finished being readied for us. If we give it back through a short sale or a voluntary repo, can the bank come back for the balance after auction? We are talking about a loss of about $40,000. What is likely to happen?
