Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I took out a loan in 2006 and in 2008 my business closed, I defaulted on the loan. I have now received a court ordered subpoena for deposition requesting all my financial records since 2012. Is there a statue of limitations on debts? The business was in California and I now live in Florida

There is, but there's also a good chance there's a judgment entered against you. If you can access the court records in the county in which you lived in California, you might find the answer there. Alternatively, call the attorney who served the subpoena and find out what's going on. Be polite with the lawyer or his assistant.

Do they have a judgment against you? The S of L for breach of contract in Calif. is 4 years from breach.
