Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

A past business partner sued me for $280. Before he sued me, I had offered him the money which he threw back in my face. After the suit, I have tried to pay him twice through paypal and each time he keeps denying it. Before he took me to court, I was jumped by three guys who afterward stood over me and said "_______ says hello". Now, he keeps threatening to go to my bank to have my assets seized. I'm TRYING to pay him, I've been trying- but he keeps refusing my payment. What rights do I have? I want this ordeal to be over.

If the person sued you did he use an attorney - if so, contact the attorney he used to make arrangements for the payment.
