Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

How can I get my title to a truck we paid off 2 years ago from the credit union that is holding it hostage for a very old loan that we were not able to pay off at the time. Long story. The fact of the matter is they won't let us have it and we need it.

Send the legal department a demand letter to forward the title or you will file suit and request attorney fees and costs in your complaint. What they are doing is not unusual. Since you owe them funds on a different loan they are holding title until the old loan is paid.
