Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

bond hearing

I dont know if you can help but I thought I would try. My brother was on probation for a DUI. He was attending college in Tampa, FL and after he graduated he moved back to Orlando, FL. However, in the move and graduation he somehow forgot (I know this is not an excuse but its what he told me) to check in with his probation officer. He was then violated for probation and a warrant was put out for him. Me and my mom convinced him to turn himself in and he is now in jail. My question is how could I go about getting him a bond hearing? He has been in jail for over a week and has not seen a judge yet. I was under the impression that he was supposed to see a judge in the first 24-48 hours of being arrested. Is there anything that I could do to help him get a bond hearing? Thank you for your time any help would be appreciated. Thank you again.

Re: bond hearing

Any attorney can set a bond hearing for your brother. As he is on probation for a misdemeanor, it does not seem as if it would be difficult to resolve. Please feel free to contact me at 407-679-3823 if you are interested in representation for your brother. My standard retainer fee for misdemeanor VOP's is $1,000.00
