Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

What can I do besides just contacting my local police dept.? I got a free kitten from a gentlemen that posted an ad in the paper, and everything went well. Told him he could call to find out how the kitten is adapting. Little did I know that he would be harassing me over the phone day, night & at all hours of the night for days now! He wants the kitten back yet! He told me he had to give them away due to being threatened of the kittens being trapped, taken & put to sleep! He even wanted me to take another kitten, I couldn't & wanted my help I'm finding others interested in taking the other kittens! He had a friend call me, yet she was respectful & stated the kitten is better off with me & that he did have certain issues & if necessary to block him from my phone. I did, but his messages still goes automatically to Voice Mail. Then he had a male friend call me yesterday & left me a message saying that "Larry" wanted his kitten back & that I better take it to him today/now. I didn't appreciate the threat!

if the same day, night or following day he wanted the kitten back, I would've maybe take her back if he missed her. But she is comfortable & being loved already & feel that returning her would confuse her. His home didn't seem like a healthy environment for even a person. But I didn't go to inspect his home, but only to pick out a kitten to bring home. The very first day he was calling within an hour of bringing the kitten home, but I found very peculiar that he would invite me to dinner, ask about me & my family & say certain things about his personal life when we do not know one another. But I let him speak being that he's a person that's alone & found no harm in hearing someone out. But didn't expect to be harassed for days now & I do not accept his calls at all. But I've become very uneasy with the fact that he continues.

But certain things that he says scares me! Such as how would I feel if I lost my son & so on...

offering money that I made clear when he told me to return the kitten & I said I'm not interested in any money, but other than the kittens well being now!

what can I do? Where do I go? Please help me!

Not sure what kind of answer you are waiting for. Your choices are to deal with it, call the police, or file an injunction (which may end up involving the police anyway). If you get an injunction, it would be best to get an attorney.
