Can you file a motion to modify your sentence after an appeal has been mandated? If not, what other motions are permissible?

Most of the time you are limited by time rules to modify your sentence. Rule 3.800 only allows 60 days to a judge to modify the sentence. On rare occassions there are exceptions for illegal sentence and clerk errors, but undoubtedly those were already raised on appeal already. If you still think there is something, you should contact a criminal defense attorney in your area that handles appeals. Good luck.
