Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

manslaughter

I got in a car accident Oct. 06 and I was the driver and my best friend died. Six months later I was arrested and charged with Manslaughter. There was no drugs or alcohol involved. The parents, and wife of my friend wrote letters to the state that they dont want charges aginst me. Many people know how much he meant to me and are going to be there to support me. Unfortanly, with all my bills from the accident I cant afford a lawyer which leaves me with a public defender. Is there any way you could give me a range of the least I will get, or what will be the worst sentence I can get?

Re: manslaughter

Hi:

Since you are represented by counsel these questions should be directed to him.. However, you should determine, if your attorney has at least requested a plea offer. Additionally, if handled correctly and your record is clean, it may not be too bad, I need more facts before I can make an educated guesstimate.

Good Luck

I was a public defender for many years before going into private practice. I handled your type of case. Your lawyer pd or private should be answering those questions. This case is much too serious to be getting online advice.
