If an aquaintance has secretly recorded our conversation of personal information, may I file criminal charges?

No, only the State of Florida can file criminal charges. You can, however, file a complaint with the police or the office of the State Attorney in your jurisdiction. They will then investigate and decide whether or not charges should be filed.
