Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Violation of probation/burglary

Son is 19. On probation 18mos. for 3rd degree felony drug charge. Violated probation by comitting a residental burglary in an apartment of a "friend" after an argument. Friend pressed charges. Son out on bail. Would like to know what he is looking at sentence-wise. He is currently employed. Is he looking at jail time? more probation? Does the judge take into account that he is employed? Friend will not drop charges. Can you give me any info? Son admitted it to police. Has no lawyer, public or private. thank you

Re: Violation of probation/burglary

First thing, get him a lawyer. The public defender's office has fine attorneys, and at the least let them represent him ASAP. YES he could be facing JAIL TIME. Certainly, he will at a min. get Community Control, which for many people is VERY hard to complete successfully. GOOD LUCK
