Legal Question in DUI Law in Florida

In 2004 I pled guilty to a 3rd DUI.Paid all fines and fulfilled all obligations.Recently found out they are now saying it was my 4th.Do I have any legal leg to stand on concerning them now saying it was my 4th. I never would have pled had I known it was my fourth.can they punish me for something I was never convicted of

First, it is possible for the DMV to say that you had a prior DUI that counts for their records, even though the criminal court may have called it a 3rd. If you have a prior from anywhere else, then the DMV will count it. If you have none, then you can challenge their records. I do suggest you either talk to your original attorney, or hire a new one.
