Legal Question in DUI Law in Florida

Hello,

I am a 22 year old, single mom, currently in between jobs. Last week I got pulled over for a U-turn...and then was arrested for DUI. This is the first time I've had any trouble like this and I don' t know what to do.

With my finances being so bad right now, I can't afford an attorney and I'm wondering if a public defender would be able to help me get this downgraded to a reckless driving offense?

Do you have ANY suggestions for me??? I don't know what to do and my court date is September 16th. I'm in Seminole County, Fl.

Thank you for your kind attention, and I'll be waiting for any response.

Melissa

If you need a consultation, I would be glad to help. If you cannot afford an attorney, a public defender will be appointed to you. DUI laws can be very complex and you may need to ask your public defender.
