Legal Question in DUI Law in Florida

Statue of Limitations

This involves a DUI in March 2000. a misdimeanor first time offense. Probation visits were completed, and some fines paid although not all, and community service not completed. What would the statue of limitations be on this, and when would the party be able to obtain a driver's license once again? Since this is currently a violation of probation, how would that enter in? Would it be difficult for the person to travel out of state as well, not driving of course? Thank you...

Re: Statue of Limitations

You probably can not get out of this case on a Statute of Limitations defense.

My advise is to complete the community service and pay the fines. The Judge and/or state attorney in your county may drop the VOP if you complete the outstanding conditions of probation on the VOP.
