Re: child in court

There is no specific age. The court has great discretion in determining what is in the child's best interests. The statute does require the judge to give greater weight to the preferences of older children. However, the final decision rests with the Judge. This can be a complicated scenario that may require more in-depth analysis. Please feel free to contact me for a low-cost consultation should you need more assistance.
