Child Support

My husband was took to court for child support. the judge ordered weekly out of his check. we went to court and the paper stated that support was ordered from january 15 the day but they have not started taking the money out of his check i was just informed by the plaintiff that he was suspose to pay until they started taking it out of his check. the plaintiff told me that tomorrow they were going to start proceedings to have him arrested for being behind. we just recieved the papers signed by the judge 2-7. MY qeustion is can they arrest him for that when he was never told that he had to.

You husband's children are entitled to his support without any court order. When the ruling was announced, he knew they needed to eat that very night, but waited for many weeks until it finally was taken out of his check. Find out his arearage amount and arrange its payment. He wont be arrested if he pays it. Pay by check; or at least get a receipt.
