Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My childs father is behind in child support, and emailed me the other day saying that he was going to talk to a D/A to sign over rights to me for my son. Without my consent, is this possible? Can he do this just to get out of child support?

No, in order to terminate parental rights there has to be a formal hearing. And cannot terminate his rights just to keep from paying child support.
