How does divorce affect an inherited annuity?

I am for all intents and purposes retired. My primary

income is from an annuity I inherited from my son. Is

the annuity income ''safe'' from divorce proceedings

should I decide to divorce my Russian wife of two years?

Money received from inheritance is considered non-marital and will not be included in a divorce unless that money was commingled in any way with marital funds, wife's name added on account or you actively managed the money for investment purposes.
