Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Joint custody and joint decision making rights. Can my ex keep me from bringing my daughter to child therapy or family therapy for the two of us? 7-year old daughter is suffering emotionally. She was in tier 3 intervention in school last year and rated very high on the Conners Rating Scale for ADD. Her pediatrician actually dismissed us because my ex did not show up at a meeting she requested and sent a certified letter to us stating that she could not do anymore for us because he is refusing therapy. When I brought her for one psych eval, the Dr. recommended 3 different medical tests (on her prescription pad) to rule out physical problems and he just keeps saying he will not authorize any evaluations or treatment at this time. Can I just bring her myself for therapy, not any treatment, or do I legally need his agreement. Can he stop me from having her EVALUATED only?

Thank you.

Depends really on what your documents from court state. However, from the looks of this, I would suggest you file a Petition to Modify Custody and Visitation and bring you proof to court so that you can show why this is a necessary change.
