Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I live in Tampa, FL and I have had a substantial reduction in salary since my original child support order. I filed for modification 6 months ago but my ex is avoiding service in order to delay the process. I have never missed or been late on a payment but I can't continue to pay the full amount>

What happens if I continue to pay on time but only make partial payments?

Most likely she will turn up to file a Motion for Contempt against you.

If you only make partial payments your ex will more likely than not File a Motion for Contempt. If you using the sheriff's department stop doing that and hire a private process server they are generally more successful. Best wishes

Get a process server and not the sherriff to get her served. Try to avoid paying less than you are ordered. Puts things in a bad light for you.
