Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I was married for 2 years. When my ex filed for divorce, she advised me I did not have to appear. I was never given any results of the divorce. My ex told me what I had to pay and provide. She had two children. Both of which are not mine biological or adopted. Ithe has been almost 3 years. I advised her she would need to find alternative health care, that I would no longer be providing. She then threatened that I had to provide insurance and that she spoke to a lawyer and they wanted to file on me in court immediately, but she claims out of the goodness of her heart she didn't. But if I forced her she would. She advised that if I did refuse to cover their insurance she would advise my employer of my responsibilities. I have no intention to commit insurance fraud. She also claims I am responsible for several credit card debt. But does not recognize she kept 2 of my tax returns and a gooday part of the debt is jewelry which she did not report on the divorce paperwork she filed. I'm in zFlorida and not sure what right I have. Am I also able to get the judges decree via the clerk of the circuit court?

If your court order says you have to cover the insurance and pay certain credit cards then you have to do it. Please refer to your final judgment. Hire a lawyer to assist you.

You or your attorney must obtain a copy of the Court Decree.

GO TO the clerk of court for the jurisdiction that handled the divorce, get a copy of the Final Judgment AND READ IT! You need to discuss it with a local Family Law attorney. You may need to file a Petition to Modify the Final Judgment. Hopefully it was not prepared by an attorney who included language that it was not modifiable.
