Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

how and what do i need to do in order to file a divorce on grounds of abandonment? we have been separated since august of this year but has left the country and has not been supporting our 2 year old daughter. id like to get this done with if at all possible before he comes back from what he has said he is due back into the states dec. 14.

You can't. You need to serve him. Florida is a no fault state. You do not need a reason to divorce.

If you are in the Duval, St. Johns, Clay or Nassau county areas, I will be glad to assist you in this matter. It sounds as if he is in the military. You will need to file a petition for divorce and a temporary needs petition for possession of the marital home and furnishings, custody, child support and possibly alimony.
