Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My pregnant friend is separated and her husband is claiming the child isn�t his and wants nothing to do with her or the baby. Does she have to list the unborn child in the divorce papers?

Yes. You might tell your friend that in the future, because it will happen, he will want to see this child. Rather than eliminate him from this child's life, include him. He will need to pay child support and they will need to prepare a parenting plan for visitation with the child. Things right now seem horrible as being separated and pregnant, sad things will be said and hurtful. Try to focus on the new life and plan a happy future - and yes, I know this will not be easy.
