son moving in w/mother almost 18
son is moving in with mother/ almost 18 . been living with father and dosen't want to any more
father is custodially main
any legal issues or should father have some legal document

Technically, this would involve a petition for change of custody, but if he is almost 18, it probably isn't worth the trouble. Once a child turns 17, there is rarely court action.
