Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My son is 8 years old and his father hasn't been in his life since he was 3 he doesn't pay child support we have no contact with him I'm currently trying to get rid of rights that he may have and my fiance wants to adopt him what do I have to do to get this process started and is it even possible to do this?
