In the state Florida how long will a filed divorce case go on without activity before the court steps in and will they force my hand?

after 6 months if there is no record activity the clerk will dismiss the case.

IF you filed a case and have done nothing on the case after it was filed, the clerk may or may not, depending on their checking of the files, close the docket on it after 10 months per Duval County. IF you are referring to how long the courts will let the pleadings go back and forth, that is a different matter. Hopefully you have had the attorneys and/or parties brought in for case management before the judge. If not, someone needs to request it so that the case can go forward.
