business libel

If my supplier sends letters to the finacial institution of the general contractors we work for stating our account is seriously past due and if not paid with lien the property and/or go aftre the owners bond after this account was paid in full and we loose all future work from this contractor, do we have a case against our supplier for libel

If what the supplier said was true you would not have a libel claim. However, depending upon facts you have not presented, you may still have a claim for intentional interference with business relationship. If what the supplier said was false, you may have both a defamation claim and an intentional interference claim. Get a consult with an attorney.
