Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I for decades lived with but did not marry a lady. She is now deceased. She had no will, trust, or other instrument that would distribute her assets. She has no known heirs. She owned a truck. The truck was left on my property. What is the best means by which I can gain ownership/title/registration? It would seem that I have at least two avenues; 1) file an abandoned property report, wait 90 days, and claim the property under FSS 705.104 or 2) File a replevin action by which I would sue my deceased partner for her truck based on the premise that I rather than the deceased should own the vehicle. I found no remedy available from the Florida DHSMV.
