can a persons account be garnished if he is head of household and has a minor child living with him

my memory is that your wages cannot be garnished, your bank account may be able to be garnished unless you can show that it only contains wages. contact a lawyer that specializes in this type of law. the general responses you get here will not be sufficient.

All bank accounts and other assets are subject to garnishment unless protected under specific state statute. Wages for the head of the household are exempt as well as savings including up to six months worth of wages which have been placed in a savings account providing it can be proven to be from wages.
