Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

My husband had an accident at work, he died of a fractured skull, when he was transported to the hospital a few days after the accident( he never told us about it) we were told it looked like a stroke. The hospital made me wait over 2 hours before allowing me to enter the ER by which time my husband was unconscious. The doctor treating him, in a full busy ER demanded to know what I had hit him with and how many times. I was speechless and had no idea what he was talking about. I was not allowed near my husband except to touch his toes. I was also informed that when he was transported to the next hospital I had better have an explanation for his injuries or I would be explaining to the Police. I will never know if my husband wanted to say goodbye to our children and I still have nightmares about being arrested because I did not know about the accident. My friends all say I should sue the hospital/doctor. Help
